Privacy policy
We explain which personal data Minha Terra processes, why, and your rights under the GDPR and Portuguese law.
Last updated: 1 October 2026
1. Controller
The controller for Minha Terra personal data is imigrei. Contact: marcelo@imigrei.pt. Product site: https://minhaterra.imigrei.pt.
2. What we collect
Email, locale, profile answers (nationality, employment, income, holders, residence, budget and property stage), reasonable technical request metadata (for example IP and user-agent for security), and documents you upload to the dossier.
We do not ask for a credit card to create the dossier.
3. Why we use the data
To create and maintain your dossier, personalise the document list, send verification or resume links, provide human review when you ask, improve the service in aggregate, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not send the dossier to banks automatically.
4. Legal bases
Consent: when you accept the terms and this policy by leaving your email or creating a dossier.
Contract performance / pre-contractual steps: to provide the service you requested (saving progress, list, uploads, resume links).
Legitimate interests: security, abuse prevention and technical operation, balanced against your rights.
5. Retention
We keep email, profile and dossier while the account/dossier is active or reasonably needed to resume the service. You may request deletion; we will handle the request except where law requires us to keep certain records.
6. Sharing and processors
We use infrastructure providers (for example hosting, authentication and cloud storage) that process data on our behalf under instructions. We may share data if required by law or to defend legitimate rights.
Human review partners only access what is needed when you request a review.
7. International transfers
Some processors may handle data outside the EEA. When that happens, we use appropriate safeguards (for example standard contractual clauses) as required by the GDPR.
8. Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. You may also complain to the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).
To exercise rights: marcelo@imigrei.pt.
9. Cookies and security
We use cookies or local storage needed for session, authentication and resuming the dossier in the browser. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures; no system is 100% secure — tell us if you suspect unauthorised access.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the current version. Material changes will appear here; when consent is the relevant basis, we will ask again if the law requires it.
